Shiv Aarti is sung in praise of lord Shiva,the God of all, one of the trinity of supreme Hindu gods (along with Vishnu and Brahma).

The aarti describes lord Shiva's characteristics and reinforces the view that although Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh (Shiva) may be seen as different but in truth they are one. It is also a prayer to lord Shiva to rid the singer of his problems and distress and says that anyone who sings this aarti gets his wishes fulfilled.

تغنى شيف آرتي في مدح الرب شيفا، إله كل شيء، واحد من ثالوث الآلهة الهندوسية العليا (جنبا إلى جنب مع فيشنو وبراهما).

يصف آرتي خصائص الرب شيفا ويعزز الرأي القائل بأن على الرغم من براهما، فيشنو وماهيش (شيفا) قد ينظر إليها على أنها مختلفة ولكن في الحقيقة فهي واحدة. بل هو أيضا صلاة للاله شيفا لتخليص المغني من مشاكله والاستغاثة وتقول أن أي شخص يغني هذا آرتي يحصل تمنياته الوفاء بها.
